Ed qualified as an accountant at PWC and then had a number of senior finance roles with Bertlesmann, Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures, Mentorn Films, Reed Elsevier and in a marketing agency, Storyworldwide.
Ed spent over 20 years working as a group CFO for several international media, publishing and entertainment companies, including CIC Video International, International Masters Publishing and DeAgostini Publishing. He then started his career as a business consultant and Interim FD in 2014 where he has worked in a variety of markets, including drinks/wine (Group CFO Laithwaites Wine), retail, education and publishing.
During his career, he has particularly enjoyed the challenge and rewards of team building, leading to the development and retention of personnel, and supporting and advising CEOs, ensuring business growth and turnaround.
Ed has developed and headed up large finance teams and worked on various change management programmes. He has gained considerable experience working in ‘creative’ businesses. He is an advocate for bringing finance to the centre of decision making.
