The challenge

Located in central Helsinki, Kamppi is Finland’s largest shopping centre. The mall wished to improve customer experience and engaged us via our local partners, Bauer Media and Mall Voice, to replace a generic music playlist with custom-designed sound.

The solution

We created a psycho-physiologically appropriate generative soundscape that’s urban, calming and welcoming. The new sound has increased dwell time by 8%. Independent researchers calculated that this will generate up to €25 million annually in extra sales.
