Intu is one of the UK’s leading mall operators and owners. We audited Intu Watford and carried out our BrandSound™ workshop for the management team. Out of that work came a full sound strategy for the centre, including a generative soundscape, plus an upgrade to the centre’s sound system.
A three-month trial compared the performance of silence, music playlists and The Sound Agency’s generative sound on selected store sales. Our generative sound outperformed silence and music, with an average rise in sales of 4% compared to silence. Pop music performed worst of the three sound conditions.
